Ellie B & The Tonopah Trailblazers
A lifelong passion for American Roots music, and the desire to collaborate closely with daughter Kylie (a member of the UK’s premier WWII harmony act and BGT finalists The D-Day Darlings), Stuart Bates roped in his longtime rhythm section pal Darren Webb (from Western Star recording combo The Retrobaits), adding both guitar and pedal steel, and launched a Country Infused Rockabilly and Vintage Country Swing combo, Ellie B and the Tonopah Trailblazers.
The band play hits from the Billboard Hot 100 of the 1940s/50s, taking inspiration from artists such as Hank Williams, Janis Martin, Brenda Lee and Patsy Cline.
Sit back and enjoy the show, or get up and bop! The majority of songs in the set are suitable for Jive and Stroll dance styles, inspired by Swing and Rock n Roll, whilst adopting the rhythms of Country and Rhythm & Blues.
