Now with over 30+ years of professional live and studio performances in a musical career spanning the globe, Dino Baptiste is all about fulfilling his love of the blues, boogie-woogie and funk with a self-attained vocal and keyboard talent that shines through in his 250+ performances every year.
Influenced greatly by his iconic inspirations namely, Ray Charles, Little Richard & Jerry Lee Lewis, Dino relies on his skill to perform, entertain and display a unique onstage personality that keeps his audience captured night after night.
Worldwide performances through his years with major artists including Mick Jagger, Lulu, Leo Sayer, Donald Fagen, Kiki Dee and Roger Taylor, this charismatic musician takes his music to another level with an almost “tongue and cheek” jamming element filled with non-stop high energy night after night.
Dino’s band, Night Train share these same and exceptional qualities, but with a unique twist namely being 35 years his junior and yet excelling in their individual performances that in recent months has created the perfect culmination of youth, energy and above all a knowledge of that old style R’nB, BeBop and retro Funk that is unheard of during these modern times. Normally a 5 piece band, but for his Garibaldi Hotel, Northampton performance, Dino presents his trio for an equally lively and high energy showcase.
Directly from London’s Guildhall School of Music & Trinity College the band features, Cameron Rossi (Dana Gillespie) on tenor sax and Dan “Bam Bam” Watt on drums (Dana Gillespie).
