Grown in the swamps of the Midlands, this ragged troupe twang banjos, saw fiddles, and squeeze boxes belt out harmonies to keep the old tunes alive.
The Mudlands String Band deal mostly in Bluegrass & Cajun. But don’t expect anything fancy; these guys might have read a song in a dusty book, or learnt it from an old friend, or just heard it in a movie. And in true folk tradition, they’ll pass it on, mangled over the centuries, but with the spirit intact.
They make a good racket for sure, so be prepared for a rowdy affair, with plenty of good time raillery and joviality. You might even feel inclined to a spot of dancing.
