Tristan Mailliot Funk Quartet

The Tristan Mailliot Funk Quartet perform material by John Scofield, George Benson, Allan Holdsworth plus some original more groove based material. Expect some tight funky grooves mixed with plenty of jazz improvisation and melodic writing.

TRISTAN MAILLIOT - DRUMS

Originally from France Tristan has been an in demand drummer and the UK jazz scene for 2 decades. Currently playing for the Jim Mullen organ trio, the Mick Foster quartet and the Jonathan Gee quartet, he also leads two of his own projects : one is the " Remembering Chick Corea" quartet dedicated to exploring the extensive repertoire of the late piano genius and the other is a contemporary band playing more groove based material the Loire funk Project. He has recorded with numerous leading artists including Jim Hart, Jim Mullen, Anita Wardell, Jacqui Hicks, John Critchinson, Ben Croft project.

TOM RIDOUT - SAXES

Tom Ridout is a young Jazz Saxophonist and Recorder player based in London. A graduate of The Royal Academy of Music, Tom is a prolific composer who fronts three especially compelling yet contrasting bands playing his original compositions.

MIKE GORMAN - PIANO

Mike Gorman has toured and performed worldwide as a pianist/keyboardist with many international artists from both the Jazz and Popular/Commercial fields including Boy George, Culture Club, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Marlena Shaw, Manu Katche, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Paul Jones and The Manfreds, Trevor Horn, Mica Paris, China Moses, Incognito, Us3, Clare Teal, Stacey Kent, Marty Pellow, Jim Mullen, Rebecca Ferguson and many others. He is also an arranger and composer who has had his work performed by Jazz Orchestras such as HR Big Band, WDR Big Band, Metropole Orchestra Big Band, Latvian Radio Big Band, Bilbao Symphony, Bogota Philharmonic, Trier Symphony and Reutlingen Symphony Orchestras.
